Support Deryck: A True Servant Leader in Need

Supporting a True Servant Leader in His Time of Need

Two weeks ago, my brother was in a devastating head-on collision that changed his life in an instant. Though we are grateful he survived, the road ahead of him is long. The impact caused severe trauma to his body. Although his vision in one eye is healing, he is still experiencing persistent numbness and tingling in his legs, and abdominal pain that makes even the simplest movements difficult. He can walk, but not comfortably, and he is unable to work or support himself while he heals.

My brother is a man who has spent his entire life in service to others. He is the first person to show up, the first person to lend a hand, the first person to pray for you, drive you. I am in awe of his energy and drive to use his gift of music at important community events; or to organize events for the Mon Valley & Pittsburgh areas. I love how he will simply sit with someone when life gets hard. And is always ready to laugh, making his joyfulness infectious. His faith is deep, and he has always lived what he believes… humbly, and consistently showing up for people the way Christ calls us to.

Today, he’s the one who needs help.

He is facing months of recovery, medical follow-ups, and the overwhelming stress of not being able to work. We are raising funds to help him cover his basic living expenses, medical needs, and the necessities of daily life until he regains his strength.

If my brother has ever touched your life. If you simply feel moved to support someone who has poured so much love, kindness, and service into the world, please consider donating. No gift is too small. Every single contribution will help him stand back on his own two feet; and back into our communities.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your prayers, generosity, and compassion. Please share this with your family, friends & community so we can surround Deryck with the support he truly deserves.

With love and gratitude,

Rema

Men in every age need artists in religion, those who can envision the eternal, the significant, and the infinite, and etch these visions so graphically that others might share the inspiration, and seek the same rich fellowship with God.
